Gather The Horses

I was on X Tube some time ago, and after watching a really hot video I decided to send out a friend invitation to the guy I was, say, focused on. After some time has passed, I noticed that the guy had either not accepted my request or ignored it.  A few weeks had passed and I noticed that the guy had posted another video. Once again, I sent a friend request and, once again, I'm guessing that I was ignored.
Okay, I told myself, don't get huffy. Maybe he just did not like my profile. I checked his profile again and found that he'd made several other X Tube friends and that some of the profiles were somewhat similar to mine with the exception of one thing: of the three hundred and so friends that he had, not one of them was a man of color. They were all exactly like him. You know the type: white, muscular, good-looking. The type we always see in movies and on television and on the covers of gay-themed novels. You get the type I'm talking about?
I went through the guy's list of friends and sent out several friend requests to some of his friends. Sure enough, those who accepted my request were of the white, muscular, good-looking type but they were also Europeans and/or straight. All the other guys I'd friend-requested and saw on his list were Americans and gay.
Okay, really, you're so uptight about race that you can't accept a friend request on X Tube? C'mon. It's not like I'm trying to fuck you or even meet you. I just like your videos and look forward to seeing more. But, you know what? The guy had suddenly made his videos private. One had to enter a PIN number in order to view them. This has happened before where a guy had friended me, then made his videos private and when I asked for the pin my inquiry went ignored. Huh?
Okay, I don't want to get on a soapbox and preach the gospel of the petty idiocy of racist attitudes because I really don't know what the deal is with this guy and others. However, coming from the experiences I've had through the years, one can't help but to think a little through what could  be an obvious observation.
Maybe I'm quick to judge based on my past. I can admit that. I get so caught up in the negative that I'm not thinking of various reasons that these guys might have for not wanting me to see their videos.
Let's not kid ourselves, as obvious as a race problem that there is in this country I find that the final frontier in the realm of racism rests upon the gay and lesbian community. One would think that a group of people that have been repressed would know of its pain and stupidity. That can be the perspective of a bright individual. Yeah.
Listen, dude, I know it's all about types and who makes your joystick jerk and all...I'm privy to all that. But when it comes to downright rudeness, it just seems a bit silly.
It seems that I have spent most of my life trying to understand the bottom line to racism and racist-like attitudes. Yeah, you don't have to be a racist to have racist-like attitudes. And I'm not only talking about white people here. Me, myself, a black man, has been discriminated against by people of my own color.  And I admit, trying to understand it all will wear you down to a nub.
I was talking to one of my best friends the other day and he - a white guy - told me that he was trying to understand racism and it's attitudes himself until one of his college professors told him that it cannot be understood.
It is too ignorant to be understood.
